Disney’s Tangled Inspired 6th Birthday
Hello! So it looks like this is my first post that I have featured one of MY own parties! It’s only taken, what, two years? Better late than never! Here it goes!
I happen to have my very own real life Rapunzel, you may have seen her and all of her glorious hair in a previous post. My oldest daughter has been blessed with very long, THICK hair, as in, she has more hair than me, and I have a lot. So when Disney’s movie Tangled came out, Rapunzel instantly became her favorite princess, and she still is some years later. So naturally, we had to have a Tangled party!
I am a sucker for details and sit up at night and think of things that must be at the party, usually up until the day before! It can be a real problem, especially when you are one of the busiest people you know! So now, on to the pictures! It should be noted that a friend of mine happens to be an amazing photographer, she came and took the photos.
I love supporting local businesses and did so for the cake, cake pops and cookies. They did an amazing job, I wish these talented mamas were still in business, both have moved on to bigger ventures.
Rapunzel came to entertain the girls, she preformed a fun magic show, read a story, hers of course and painted faces. They loved it!
My littlest princess wasn’t sure what to think, but was quite proud of her heart. She was two and a half at this party. Gahhh, where has the time gone?!
The girls “pinned the nose on Flynn” and also tossed beanbags for a “Maximus Apple Toss”.
I tried to keep most of the party outside, as it was in July. (and I may have just gotten new floors that I didn’t want destroyed) We had a “Snuggly Duckling” area for the adults, and food and drinks in tents for the girls. I used yellow dollar store table cloths around the pool fence and in the house to look like Rapunzel’s hair. It was hard to get pictures of everything, I wanted the focus to be on the kids.
These beauties were re-purposed from a dear friends baby shower. I redid the tissue paper and added the printable 4″ circles. You can find all of the printables in my shop HERE.
The girls all got a “Rapunzel Hair” on a barrette as they walked in and their favors were sidewalk chalk. I like to give something useful or consumable when giving favors, less chance of them getting tossed. All of the signage was created by me and can be found in my Etsy shop HERE.
The cake pops are stuck into pieces of floral foam from the dollar store that I wrapped in wrapping paper, I do this a lot.
I found these unpainted bird houses at a local craft store several months before the party and had to have them, they made perfect towers! I raided my Mother in Laws fake flower stash and bought some ivy and moss. I painted the towers then hot glued the flowers and moss in place. Some of the towers even had Rapunzel’s hair. This is the part of party planning that I love, MAKE ALL THE THINGS!
This little princess had The Best Day Ever! She still talks about it this party and she will be nine in July. (sniffle)
I hope you got some inspiration for your princesses party! Be sure to check, upcoming themes include: Alice in Wonderland, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Teen Beach Movie, Aristocats, Ombre Mermaid, Shabby Chic Cowgirl and more!
