Sofia the First Princess Playdate. #Disneyside @Home Celebration
It is no secret that I am a bit of a Disney fanatic, in fact “fanatic” may even be putting it lightly. It is also no secret that I love to plan a party, especially a themed Disney party!
When the opportunity to host a #Disneyside @Home Celebration came up, I jumped at the chance. I filled out my survey, sent it in and crossed my fingers hoping I would be one of the lucky ones. Guess what…I was! I was chosen to host a preschool aged party, perfect for my favorite 4-year-old and all of her preschool BFF’s.
My little princesses were so excited about receiving the box “from Mickey”, that they ran to the front door everyday after school to see if it had arrived. When it did, we had so much fun going through all of the fun goodies that were provided for our party. Everything we needed came in the box, even Duff cake mix! The girls were thrilled with the Princess Palace Pets and the super girly nail polish and lip gloss kits.
We started planning right away and started a Pinterest board for inspiration. We found so many great ideas. Our kit had a ton of Sofia The First items, which was perfect as she is a favorite in our house. So we decided to have a Sofia the First Princess Playdate.
Our invitations went out, requesting our princess friend arrive in their favorite royal attire, and we anxiously awaited the party day.
Everything was ready, we just needed the princesses!
We had all kinds of fun things planned for the girls, the first was to hold our own “Royal Games”.
We had a snack and lots of yummy sweets, then we went to the backyard to burn off energy…and sugar!
(I would like to send a HUGE thank you to Nicole Lynne Photography. Link up to her site HERE, all of the great pictures are from here, the not so hot ones are mine, my camera broke that morning. Nicole was not prepared to photograph the party, but did an awesome job!)
And what Disney party would be complete without Disneyland goats!?
It was so funny to see the little princesses petting the goats and admiring the chickens.
We came back to the house for princess freeze dance and “pin the smile on Mickey”.
After handing out our goody bags, with fun stuff from Disney, the princesses went back to their kingdoms to catch up on their beauty sleep.
We had a blast planning our party, but especially sharing our love for all things Disney! I love how my girls got in on the action and contributed their ideas for games and decorating. My love of Disney doesn’t fall far from the tree!
We didn’t end our weekend there, we kept the princesses going with Disney on Ice the next day.
I am so appreciative of this opportunity and can’t wait to host my next Disney party!
So, how do you show your #Disneyside? Show me, and join the party!
Disclosure: I was sent a Disney at Home Celebrations Kit in order to help throw a #DisneySide Party. (Special thanks to Disney Parks and BSM Media.) I did not receive any other compensation. The views expressed in this post are 100% my own.
