Don’t have time for fancy holiday cookies? Look no further, I have you covered! These cookies are so easy to make and take very little time, but look oh so impressive when they are finished. The best part is, the kids can “help”!
I, however cannot take all the credit for the idea. Ever since these Pillsbury Ready to Bake cookies came out, my mom has been using this technique to spruce them up. (of course she has, that lady thinks of everything!)
So, let’s get started. The next time you are at the grocery store, pick up a couple packages of these puppies. I always get them when they are on sale for 2 for $6, sometimes there is a dollar off coupon on each package that you can use with the sale. That’s $4.00 for 4 dozen cookies, not bad.
You will need:
- Sprinkles, I used leftover Christmas and Valentine’s Day sprinkles that I got from the dollar bin at Target.
What to do:
- Simply pour the sprinkles on a plate, then roll the outer edge of the cookie in the sprinkles. (see above photo of my lovely assistant)
- place cookies on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions. The end!
It’s as easy of that! A quick and easy cookie that looks as good as it tastes. Fun for the kiddos, and no messy cookie making involved. She was so proud of her creations!
I use this method for every holiday that comes along. I always have random sprinkles laying around so it helps to use those up too. You can also make “cookie pops” out of them by pressing a Popsicle stick into the back of them. (be sure to soak the stick so they don’t burn!)
These would be perfect to pass out for class parties or even as Valentines, just stick them in a bag with ribbon to share.
I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
